WHAT A MESS

Its so frustrating that there is so much to crack on with this year but i cant start it until later in the year, i have my second opp in 2 weeks and then have got to rest, its going to do my head in trying to rest but itching to get out and finish this at the same time.This is one reason iam so anoyed that they didnt find my blocked arterys and do something about it a year ago, i could have been starting this now.This is another reason i feel ive been set back a year because of a poor decission by the doctor in the hospital.

Spring is round the corner

Its great to see the start of life in the garden which means spring is round the corner, iam so glad i remembered to put the bulbs in last year something i always forget to do so normally i would miss out on seeing colour in the garden until much later in the year

First signs of life in seed trays after one week

No sign of life

Just checked seed trays 2 days old now and no sign of life yet

SEEDS SOWN AND JUST WAIT NOW

AND THATS ALL THERE IS TO IT, HOPEFULLY IN A FEW WEEKS WE SHOULD SEE SOME LIFE. NOTE THAT IAM HAVING TO START THEM OFF INDOORS AS I CANT AFFORD A 8 X 6 FT GREEN GREENHOUSE WHICH WOULD LOOK LOVELY IN MY GARDEN IF ONE OF THE BIG DIY STORES WOULD LIKE TO DONATE OR SPONSOR ME

SEEDS I HAVE CHOOSEN THIS YEAR

HERES A FEW SEEDS IVE CHOOSEN THIS YEAR, I TEND TO GET ENOUGH FOR A TRAY OF EACH ONE, BY JULY THE SLUGS HAVE GOT TO THEM THEN I GO AND BUY SOME PLANTS, EVERY YEAR I SWEAR I WONT DO SEEDS AGAIN. I AM TRYING SOMETHING NEW THIS YEAR I WILL START THEM OFF EARLY AND HOPEFULLY GIVE THEM A FIGHTING CHANCE BEFORE THE RAIN COMES AND ITS SLUGFEST IN MY BACK GARDEN

THE BASICS

Once you have got the basics compost seeds trays and tray tops is a must if you dont want the cats crapping in the trays. If the lids dont have holes in which a lot of them dont make sure you put some in yourself, dont learn the hard way as i did last year and kill your plants off in 2 days because i didnt put the holes in and forgot to take the covers off .

WHERE TO START

I thought the best place to start is the begining ie where i get my seeds,trays compost ect i find Wilkinsons one of the cheapest places for all that. I was going to take a picture of my local store but its raining so heres one i pinched earlier

Sharing the garden

Ive decided to start a new page on gardening or rather my garden this year as you can see there isn't one at the moment but hopefully it will progress as the year goes on. I love being in the garden and starting from scratch each year, ive spent years doing this on my own from visiting garden centres to sowing the seeds and watching the slugs destroy all that hard work so i thought it would be nice to share it this year

SMALL GARDEN PROJECT

As i enjoy gardening  (that dosent mean iam any good at it) iam going to create a page following my garden this year, this will be a bit slow because of HA and i should be resting until later in the year. I  can put some old pics up of how it used to look and some recent pics up so you can see when i say i like to treat the garden as a blank canvas each year you will know what i mean.
